The Laṅkāvatāra Sūtra
Translated by D. T. Suzuki
George Routledge and Sons, London, 1932
About this text
Suzuki’s translation of the Laṅkāvatāra, a Mahāyāna sūtra that joins the Yogācāra teaching of mind-only and the storehouse consciousness with buddha-nature. Early Chan tradition associated it with Bodhidharma, who is said to have passed it on to his successor as the sūtra to rely on.
